  1. Hello, I've been searching for Datasources related with Spanning Tree Protocol monitoring but didn't found one. Does this mean there's no out-of-box datasources for STP monitoring? This is extremly useful in terms of monitoring. Appreciate the feedback.
  2. I'm working with custom Meraki API datasources and have an issue where the collector can get into a state such that all the instances attempt to collect simultaneously. Or, at least closely enough together it triggers Meraki's rate limiting, and even my backoff/retry isn't doing the job. I would think that if my collector script for my customer datasource is set to sleep for a rand() number of seconds, I should be able to avoid this. Any thoughts about what I might be doing wrong, or is there "LogicMonitor way" I should be handling this? The below is what I'm doing to try to account
  3. Hello, We're monitoring a lot of Tegile device(s) via SNMP (making use of the OOB datasources, however, those fail quite often). This is happening for the majority of our clients & after our NOC opened a case with Tegile directly (they stated there's a bug when using SNMP on the MGMT IP). Having that in mind, I started leveraging the possibility of using Tegile API instead of SNMP. Searched through the Exchange but found none developed yet. My idea would be replace the SNMP with API ones.I've found their documentation about API calls but, actually requires some help to pu

  5. So we are in the final phases of rolling out LogicMonitor and now the daunting process of Alert Tuning has rolled upon us. In our old monitoring solution we has it very much tweaked and customized and overall all alerts were around ~400-600ish. In LogicMonitor we are currently at 13000+. We need to seriously tune up the Datasources and we need a way to show our SME's what each datasource is monitoring and what it alerts on, what thresholds, etc.. Is there a way to export the Datasource's Monitoring Template to a CSV file so that we can reference that and our SME's can then say turn
  6. Hello, As an MSP we've the need to group multiple interface instances (from different devices & different clients as well) in order to set common thresholds, reports, etc... From my research that isn't possible within LM. Anyone able to do that? This would be very useful from the monitoring/management perspective. Regards,

    COVID-19

Hey all, I built out a datasource to monitor the COVID-19 cases and deaths per state. An API key from Finnhub.io is required to run this DataSource. The API key must be saved as a custom property on the device you want this DataSource applied to. The Custom Propery name needs to be "finhubb.api.key" with the value being the Finnhub.io API key. Finnhub.io offers a free API key teir that allows 60 queries a minute. Locator Code: M9WGM3
  8. Hello everyone, I've setup a datasource that retrieves data from a logfile.txt every 10 minutes (located on the collector itself) . That logfile is populated by another script (from a proprietary language) that runs on the collector VM level (it dumps his different variables within the logfile.txt). The datasource will then retrieve the content of the textfile (using a simple powershell script) & act according to the different datapoints that I've setup - until this point I've no issues (everything working smoothly) My problem starts on the datasource polling/run cycles.
  9. I have built a generic StatusPage.IO datasource to allow for monitoring the status of various services we use. Since so many companies are using StatusPage.io, I figured it's a good idea to have a heads up in the event there is an outage with one of our many service providers. This has worked well as an early warning system for our service desk guys to know about issues before they start getting calls from end users. LogicMonitor actually uses StatusPage, but of course there are many, many others. Attached is a screenshot of the Box.com StatusPage data that we've collected from https://stat

  11. AWS lists that the Listener limit is on a per ELB basis. The AWS_ClassicELB_ServiceLimits datasource seems to intimate that the ListenerUsage is returning the total number of listeners for the given region. Is this useful information to capture on a regional basis or should this be refactored to apply to each classic ELB?
  12. Code is TXL3W9 This DataSource provides instances for each of the Network adapters, including the following Instance Level Properties: auto.TcpWindowSize auto.MTU auto.MACAddress auto.IPSubnet auto.IPAddress auto.DNSHostName auto.DNSDomain auto.DefaultIPGateway auto.SettingID auto.Description
