  1. If those hosts are running sql server there is a known bug that kills the remote registry service. Please follow the following links to solve the issue.n nThe following Knowledge Base article applies:n nhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/2159286n nA fix for the issue WAS released for SQL Server 2008 R2 - it is in Cummulative Update 9:n nhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/2567713n nApplying this update to SQL Server 2008 R2 SHOULD resolve the problem.

You might need to rebuild your WMI registry.n nHere is a good link for troubleshooting wmi.n nhttp://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrt...n nAlso if you want to completely just rebuild wmi run the winmgmt /salvagerepository command.n nThe above command performs a consistency check on the WMI repository, and if an inconsistency is detected, rebuilds the repository. The content of the inconsistent repository is merged into the rebuilt repository, if it can be read.
  3. James, what type of device would you like to monitor this on? Typically when there is a duplex mismatch you will start to see interface errors which we do monitor and alert on. If you would like to know if a duplex configuration has changed on a switch interface we will have to investigate.
  4. hi.. question can your software monitor LDAP servers ? openldap specifically not at the os or machine level.. but at the application level monitrong things like locks and stuff shared memory usage much like you would monitor a database
